PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate tire properties in a single body bench test from a running performance of a tire in an actual vehicle running test and also to improve the running performance of the tire by the single body bench test. SOLUTION: Regarding at least one of tire properties including self-aligning torque, cornering power, cornering force and a vertical spring constant of a basic tire and a comparison tire, vehicle performances including on-center steering force, yaw response of a handle angle 3°, a steering angle in turning, handle stability, a roll angle, a side G of lane change, turning speed, re-steering steering force and level difference going-down G are tested by fitting the basic tire and the comparison tire on a test vehicle, while the running performances of the tire and the results of the single body bench test are correlated with each other, in a detecting method of differences in the tire properties.
