PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of an overflow or an underflow in the buffer, as a result of D/A conversion of the audio data asynchronously transmitted, even when a memory buffer of small memory capacity is used. SOLUTION: A decoding reproduction apparatus includes the input memory buffer 23 to which audio data asynchronously transmitted is input; a decoding circuit 24 which is configured to read out and decode encoded data stored in the input memory buffer; an output memory buffer 25, which is configured to store an output from the decoding circuit; and an output control circuit 26, which is configured to monitor an amount of use of the input memory buffer, to output the data stored in the output memory buffer, by decimating the data, when the amount of use becomes larger than a prescribed upper-limit threshold value, and to output the data stored in the output memory buffer by interpolating the data, when the amount of use becomes smaller than a prescribed lower-limit threshold.
