FIELD: personal use articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hygiene and sanitary products and is to be utilised for elimination of objectionable odours associated with pet toilets. The proposed deodorant preparation for removal of objectionable odors from the air contains the following ingredients (wt %): sodium hydrocarbonate - 6-11; sodium lauryl sulphate -0.4-0.8; hydroxiethylcelulose - 0.8 -1.4; water - balance or sodium hydrocarbonate - 6-11; sodium lauryl sulphate - 0.4-0.8; hydroxiethylcelulose - 0.8-1.4; triarylmethane colorant disodium salt of - 0.05-0.2; water - balance. The proposed method for production of deodorant preparation for removal of objectionable odours from the air includes mixing the abovementioned component in a specific succession and their agitation at a specific speed of the auger mixer rotation in a process vessel till obtainment of a jelly-like consistence. ^ EFFECT: invention ensures a stable deodorising effect and expedient elimination of objectionable odours associated with pet toilets. ^ 16 cl, 3 tbl
