<p>The invention refers to battery chargers, especially to lead-acid, NiCD and NiMH battery chargers. The battery charger offered comprises a current inlet module 1 and a charging module 2 which is connected to the current inlet module 1 and comprises thyristors Q1 - Q12 arranged in line. Besides the driver cascade module 4 and output module 9 are connected to the charging module 2. Furthermore, the outlet switch 10 is connected to an outlet filter 9. Besides, current control and pre-processing modules 12 and 14 are connected to the outlet switch 10. The charger additionally comprises a discharging module 6 with its own driver cascade module 6 connected to the current inlet module 1. Charging and discharging modules 2 and 3 are provided with at least two thyristors Q1 - Q12 connected in parallel and opposite to each other current flow direction. Additionally, the charger comprises control module 15 with interface 16 for control of charging process.</p> |
