PURPOSE: A mobile phone for changing notice mode and a method thereof are provided to convert a notice mode of the mobile phone to a vibration or lamp mode during fixed time, thereby preventing non-reception of important calls. CONSTITUTION: A DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) analysis unit(160) detects call forwarding request information from a DTMF signal. The call forwarding request information includes vibration mode change information or lamp mode conversion information, and set up time information. According to the call forwarding request information, a control unit(120) converts a notice mode to a vibration or lamp mode. The control unit operates a timer unit(170) according to set up time information. If set up time completion is transmitted from the timer unit, the control unit converts the notice mode into a ring tone mode.
