PURPOSE: An inverter booster pump system and a control method thereof are provided to improve the operation efficiency of a pump by selecting and operating the pumps according to use flow rate. CONSTITUTION: An inverter booster pump system comprises a third large-capacity pump(13), a fourth large-capacity pump(14), a first small-capacity pump(11), and a second small-capacity pump(12). The first small-capacity pump and the second small-capacity pump have the capacity corresponding to 1/2 of the large-capacity pump capacity. The second large-capacity pump, the fourth large-capacity pump, the first small-capacity pump, and the second small-capacity pump are installed between an intake pipe(21) and a water supply pipe(25) in parallel.
