A transport unit comprising a mineral wool plate package with at least two mineral wool plates (2), the mineral wool plate package having a top surface, a bottom surface and two opposed side surfaces extending in a width and a height of the mineral wool plate package, and two separate feet (3, 4)positioned at a distance from each other, manufactured from an insulating material and arranged at the bottom surface, forming ground supports adapted to carry and support the package when the transport unit is positioned on the ground (5), the feet in that position keeping the mineral wool plates at a distance from the ground such as to make it possible for a fork of a fork-lift or like lifting device to be inserted between the feet to lift up the transport unit, each foot (3, 4) comprises a lower part (8) and an upper part (7), the lower part extending shorter towards the closer of the side surfaces such as to form a step (9a, 9b) between the lower part and the upper part, which step extends in the width direction of the mineral wool plate package to form a lifting strap space adapted to accommodate a respective lifting strap (10, 11) for lifting up the transport unit. |
