at least one component capable of transmitting a first deceleration rate; and a brake control unit (BCU) having:
a first BCU card,a first accelerometer positioned on the first BCU card and configured to detect a first accelerometer deceleration rate, anda brake controller positioned on the first BCU card, in operable communication with the at least one component and the first accelerometer, and configured to receive the first deceleration rate from the at least one component, to receive the first accelerometer data from the first accelerometer, to determine the first deceleration rate, and to determine a likely accurate deceleration rate based on the first deceleration rate, the first accelerometer deceleration rate and a hierarchy of sources of deceleration rates.
