摘要 <p>1287948 Dielectric resin-paper laminates GENERAL CABLE CORP 3 Oct 1969 [7 Oct 1968] 48739/69 Heading B5N [Also in Division H1] A dielectric material for insulating cables (see Division H1) comprises a synthetic resin film bonded between two embossed paper sheets of thickness 0À2-1À5 mils. Embossing may extend into the plastics film and may constitute either a random or a uniform pattern. The resin may be polypropylene, polyethylene, polyphenylene oxide, polysiloxane, fluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer, polycarbonate, polyimide, polysulphone, polytetrafluoroethylene, poly-4-methylpentene or polystyrene, and may be irradiated. The material may be made by extruding the resin film and bonding it to the preheated paper sheets between heated rollers. While hot, the material is embossed by rollers, cooled, irradiated if desired, and slit into smaller widths. Alternatively, polyisobutylene adhesive may be used to bond the constituent laminae.</p>
