<p>Appts. for surfacing prefabricated panels consists of a moving trolley, an adhesive applicator with a supply reservoir, followed by a wide endless belt conveyor surmounted by a hopper for supplying aggregate at a controlled thickness. The process enables e.g. the under side of concrete joists to be surfaced with a ceramic based cement in continuous fashion. The adhesive (pref. a water based vinyl emulsion) is pref. supplied from a tank under variable press., and the height of the distributing nozzles is adjustable. The speeds of the conveyor and the trolley are independently variable.</p> |
