<p>Appts. for the electrolytic treatment of a rod, tube, or similar article with a rounded section, and with a thin electrically conducting layer on an insulating base, comprising a container for the electrolytic bath, connecting leads to a source of electric current and >=1 anode. Means are provided for maintaining the article horizontal and partly immersed in the bath and for rotating it around its longitudinal axis, while a series of mutually moveable, electrically insulated, spring-loaded contact rollers are provided so arranged that they are distributed longitudinally during operation and rest on the unimmersed peripheral surface of the article to be treated, each roller being separately connected to the cathode lead from the current source via a resistance.</p> |
