<p>1283119 Ventilating vehicles FRANCAISE DU FERODO SA 18 Dec 1970 [19 Dec 1969] 60214/70 Heading F4V A ventilation system for a vehicle comprises an air intake chamber 10 having a water discharge pipe 18 and, communicating through an aperture 11 with an intermediate chamber 12, a fan 13 for passing air from the chamber 12 to the passenger compartment of the vehicle, a water outlet 14 in the chamber 12, and an apertured pivoted flap 20 which in its closed position closes the aperture 11 while permitting discharge of water through pipe 18. In another embodiment, the outlet 14 is replaced by a perforated section of the wall 15 of chamber 12 surrounding the pipe 18. An air heater is provided. The flap 20 is covered with a resilient sheet 25 of foam rubber or expanded synthetic resin material. The upper end of pipe 18 and the aperture 14 may be provided with non-return valves.</p> |
