Title cpds. are of formula (I): and their acid addn. salts (where R1 is is not >6C alkyl or cycloalkyl; R2 is H or is not >6C alkyl; R3 is phenyl (opt. substd. by 1 or 2 substits. selected from halogen, N residues, NO2, is not >6C alkyl and is not >6C alkoxy) or is not >10C acyl or phenylalkyl; R4 is H, halogen, is not 6C alkyl, alkenyl, alkylthio, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, acyl or alkoxycarbonyl, is not >10C aralkoxy, or CN) which are beta-adrenergic blockers with in some cases cardioselective props. (I) can be prepd. by chemical syntheses in which the 5 structural elements R2R3N-N=, -CH2CH(OR7)CH2-, -NR8 - and -R2 (where R7 and R8 are H or protecting gps.) are successively combined, any protecting gps. R7 and/or R8 being subsequently removed. |
