Examples describe the preparation of prop-2<SP>1</SP>-en-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, but-3<SP>1</SP>-en-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, but-3<SP>1</SP>-en-2<SP>1</SP>- yl, but-2<SP>1</SP>-en-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, prop-2<SP>1</SP>-yn-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, but-3<SP>1</SP>-yn-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, and cyclopropyl 11-methoxy-3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,4-dienoate; of prop-2<SP>1</SP>-en-1<SP>1</SP>-yl and prop-2<SP>1</SP>-yn-1<SP>1</SP>-yl of 11-hydroxy-, 11-acetoxy- and 11-chloro-3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,4-dienoates; and prop-2-en-1<SP>1</SP>-yl, prop-2<SP>1</SP>-yn- 1<SP>1</SP>-yl, and cyclopropyl 11-methoxy-3,7,11-trimethyl-thiol-dodeca-2,4-dienoate.
