1382338 Mixing fluids L'OREAL 13 April 1972 [16 April 1971] 17167/72 Heading B1C In a method and apparatus for making and storing a mixture of fluids which are not liquid at ambient temperatures, especially a propellant for an aerosol container, a mixture of liquefied chlorofluoroalkanes is supplied through a refrigerator 3, 4, metering liquid ring pump 6, anti-surge accumulator 8 and electromagnetic valve 7 to a static mixer 22. Liquefied nitrous oxide is supplied from a reservoir 11 through a pressure pump 12, piston or diaphragm metering pump 13, anti-surge accumulator 19 and electromagnetic valve 16. The mixture passes through a concentration meter 39 which controls the pump 13 to keep constant. The proportion of chlorofluoroalkanes to nitrous oxide.
