PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker that is indicative of Alzheimer's Disease which may be used in diagnostic applications.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for diagnosing Alzheimer Disease in a subject by determining the level of at least one miRNA in a sample taken from the subject. A change in the level of the at least one miRNA relative to a suitable control is indicative of Alzheimer's disease in the subject. A method for monitoring the course of Alzheimer's disease, a method for treating a subject having Alzheimer's Disease, and a kit for diagnosing Alzheimer's Disease are also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
