Appts. for mooring buoys in deep, rough seas comprising an elastic connection which is provided between the buoy and a ballast for opposing variations in tension due to the high waves, the ballast itself being connected to a dead weight and a conventional anchor. More esp. the elastic connexion is a long cable (50-300m).
