Glass enamel resists - from instituting reduced metal oxide in alumino borate glass

A mixt. comprising powdered glass contg. a dissolved oxide e.g. of Mo or W, and a powdered reducing agent e.g. B, Si or Mo or W disilicide which is stable at the glass firing temp., the ingredients being present in such amts. that on firing at 600-900 degrees C for 30 mins. to 2 hrs. the oxide is reduced to an electrically conducting phase separate from the glass phase.
