The co-operating surfaces of the intermediate and support rings may be spherical and may also have a liner of synthetic plastics. The heating means may be electrical coils 7 which are fed via slip rings 8. Alternatively, the heating may be by induction or, when the bearing is used in a hot gas engine, hot gases may be diverted through the intermediate member. |
