The padding is mfd. by a continuous process of feeding from two reels corrugated paper together with a flat paper interface. Two outer coverings of flat paper sheet are fed in a similar manner. Glue is applied automatically in lines to coincide with each interface and form a complete product. The lines of corrugation are all oriented in the same plane to give pliability, and the corrugated sheets are out of phase such that the peaks of one are joined to the interface sheet below the troughs of the second.
