The noble metal may be Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru, Os, Ir, Au and Ag, and the Lewis base a C 1-3 alkanol, e.g. methanol, n- or iso-propanol or ethanol or an alkanol alkali metal propionate mixture. The solution is made by heating the mixture to 32‹ to 54‹ C. and holding for a plurality of days. The stannous halide is preferably added to the reaction mixture in a series of increments.</p> |
