<p>The unit is particularly for monitoring and stimulating nerves in surgical work, and comprises a housing containing an impulse generator, supplying via terminals and cables a pair of electrodes or more. A second pair of electrodes may be in parallel with the first. These can have one end acting as a terminal, and one or both the electrodes supplied by cable can screw or plug into an insulating sleeve, connected by the cable to the terminal. One of the earth electrodes may be in the form of a plate with a socket welded to it accommodating the plug at the end of one of the cables, which has a further plug at the other end. A removable cover can be fitted to the housing.</p> |
