<p>The electromechanical machine converts the linear motion of electromagnetically driven armatures into rotary motion via override linkages coupled to a shaft. The electromagnets (6) are arranged in line parallel to the shaft axis and to one side of it. The electromagnets armatures or cores (7) are each linked separately to the shaft via override couplings which convert their linear motion into rotary motion to turn the shaft (1). The armatures are out of phase and the electromagnets are supplied from a pulsed distributor (9) which is itself supplied from a battery. The shaft is coupled over gears to a generator (11).</p> |
