<p>The anti-vibration elements are for use under vibrating machinery resting freely on the floor producing predominantly auto vibration, where the energy should be destroyed by shear-, compression-, and tensional work within the attenuating material. The specific geometrical pattern of the ribs on the present design eliminate shortcomings inherent on previous arts on which the forces involved in the destruction of the vibration energy were determined by the direction of the rib in relation to the direction of the acting force. The pentagon- or in some cases- hexagon-shaped rib pattern results in an isotropic reset force.</p> |
