<p>1340289 Benzothiazine derivatives WARNER-LAMBERT CO 16 June 1972 [22 June 1971] 28227/72 Heading C2C Novel benzothiazine derivatives of the formula wherein R 1 is alkyl, R 2 and R 3 each are H or alkyl, and R 4 is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl or alicyclyl are prepared by reacting the corresponding hydroxy compounds with bases and thereafter with acyl halides of the formula R 4 COX, wherein X is a halogen atom. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral or parenteral administration, contain the above novel compounds in admixture with solid or liquid pharmaceutical diluents or carriers. The compounds possess anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic activities.</p> |
