<p>1317429 Analgesic compositions CIBA GEIGY AG 20 Oct 1971 [21 Oct 1970] 48785/ 71 Heading A5B An analgesic comprises (a) a compound of formula: in which R' 1 is aryl, R' 2 is aralkyl, R' 3 is methyl and R' 4 is H, or R' 3 and R' 4 together represent CH 2 and R' 5 is a tertiary amino group in which each substituent is linked to the nitrogen atom by an aliphatic carbon atom or a salt thereof and (b) a 9- or 11-aminoalkyl-9, 10-dihydro-9, 10-enantho or enenthoanthracene, or a 9- or 11-aminoalkoxy-9, 10- dihydro-9, 10-enanthoanthracene or a salt thereof. Compounds of type (a) specified include 1, 2-diphenyl-2-propionyloxy-3-(dimethylaminomethyl)butene-3 and 1, 2-diphenyl-2-acetoxy- 3-(pyrrolidinomethyl)-butene-3 and the hydrochlorides and maleates thereof. Compounds of type (b) specified include 9-(methylaminomethyl)-9, 10-dihydro-ethano or ethenoanthracene, 9-(γ-methylaminopropyl)-9, 10-dihydro-9, 10-ethano-or ethenoanthracene, 9-(γ-dimethylaminopropyl)-9, 10-dihydro-9, 10-ethenoanthrecene, and 9-(#-methylaminoethoxy-9, 10-dihydro-9, 10-ethanoanthracene and the hydrochlorides thereof. The composition may be administered orally.</p> |
