<p>The prepn of a powder detergent contg a salt of a sulphonated fatty acid or a salt of an alkyl or alkenyl-succinate as improver comprising formation of an aq. paste of the detergent ingredients and drying of the paste to form particles is improved in that drying is carried out in a first stage in which a small amt of the water is eliminated and the paste is pulverised with a gas, and a second stage in which more water is removed from the prod. particles and a heated gas is passed across a fluidised bed of the particles. The apparent density of the powders is increased while using lower drying temps.</p> |
