<p>1383758 Transparent polyamides HOECHST AG 8 Dec 1971 [10 Dec 1970] 57067/71 Heading C3R Transparent copolyamides are derived from a C 7-20 aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a C 5-20 saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid which provides 15 to 85 mol. per cent of the total diacid and 1,3- or a mixture of at least 50 mol. per cent 1,3- together with 1,4-bis-(aminomethyl) cyclohexane. Specified aromatic acids are iso- and tere-phthalic; and 2,5-pyridine; 4,41-diphenyl-, and 1,4-, 1,5- and 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acids. Specified aliphatic acids are adipic, 2-methyl-glutaric, pimelic, suberic, azelaic, sebacic and 1,10-decane dicarboxylic acids. The diamines are preferably trans. The polymer may be injection moulded. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 922,677.</p> |
