<p>The track has two a.c. fed conductors laid along its side. Coils on the vehicles are inductively coupled with these cables. The track is divided into many sections (T1 T2 T3) and connected to the fixed station from each and in such a way that they have an effect on the vehicle coils. The different sections (T1 T2 etc.) have different phase positions provided by using different additional lengths of line. One track conductor can be at rail level and the other along the middle of the track. The sections can first be connected to a two way amplifier with two conductor feed, dephased between 60 and 300 degrees.</p> |
