PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is configured to suppress ghost due to transfer memory by irradiating a photoreceptor with light, and can suppress exposure of the photoreceptor more than necessary without losing an advantage, such as space saving.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a detection part 23 that detects a DC current flowing in a charging member 2 when a voltage is applied to the charging member 2 from a power supply D3; test toner image forming means (image forming part on upstream side) that forms a predetermined test toner image on a transfer body 10; and an adjustment part 110. The adjustment part 110 adjusts the amount of exposure of a photoreceptor 1 by an exposure device 6 on the basis of the test toner image carried on the transfer body 10 and transferred to a transfer position T1, and a result of detection from the detection part 23 when the charging member 2 is in contact with an area on the photoreceptor 1 to charge the area while a transfer current is supplied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
