<p>The compression-type connector can be fitted directly over the tab end without any previous unscrewing or disassembly of components. The sleeve (7) of the connector has an internal groove (21) in which is located a retaining compression ring (19). This ring prevents the radially deformable ring (11) which grips the tube and the sealing ring (11) from falling out. The groove (21) is big enough to permit axial movement of the ring (12) to compress the other components. Several variations are possible, including retaining rings which are screwed through the coupling thread to the groove, and rings which have a subsidiary ring in an annular groove.</p> |
