A hot plate for a stove, has a high refractory vitrified ceramic plate (2) resting on a spirally wound resistive heating element (3), supported in turn by an insulation block (4) underneath. The free ends (5) of the heating element which branch off at a lower level, pass through an elongated recess (6) in the insulation block. To prevent subjecting the underside of the ceramic plate to excessive heat, there is an expansion controller (7) located under an iron disc, the length of the controller (7) being of a length nearly equal to the diameter of the ceramic plate. This controller (7) is located inside another recess (8) in the insulation block.
|
