PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can form an image on a recording medium having an image formed thereon in advance while suppressing shift in magnification.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part that forms an image on a recording medium; a storage part that stores information on image characteristics of the recording medium having an image formed thereon in advance; and correction means that, in forming a new image on the recording medium having an image formed thereon in advance, corrects a magnification in the sub scanning direction with respect to the new image on the basis of the information on image characteristics stored in the storage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
