<p>Acid gases, esp. H2S and CO2, are sepd. from gaseous hydrocarbons by (a) treating the hydrocarbons with a lean aq. amine soln. to remove the acid gases, forming a rich amine soln. contg. also is not 4C unsatd. hydrocarbons, (b) treating the rich amine soln. in a 1st stripping zone, in countercurrent with a non-condensible low-mole gas, as stripping agent, (c) removing the non-condensible gas the is not 4C unsatd. hydrocarbons from the rich aq. amine soln., and (d) passing this rich amine soln. to the regeneration zone. Removal of the unsatd. hydrocarbons avoid polymerisation in the regeneration zone, to prevent fouling. The gaseous hydrocarbons are esp. pyrolysis cracking prods.</p> |
