Local surface reparation grinder for rolled bar - has conveyor with drive nip rollers, bar rotator and grinding head

The machine for local reparation grinding of rolled metal products e.g. bars, is designed to remove surface imperfections prior to secondary rolling and specifically to apply the treatment to local areas rather than the whole product. The grinder constitutes a roller conveyor (7) feeding the bar beneath a grinding wheel. The conveyor is equipped with motorised pincer rollers (8) and means (9) of rotating the product about its longitudinal axis. A product with distinct local imperfections would, thus, be fed rapidly through the machine, decelerating only for the localised treatment. The machine is suitable for round or polygonal section bars.
