Volume reduction of empty containers for liquids - has plunger and tubular matrix through which compressed articles are self expelled

A method to reduce the volume of the box-type container e.g. for oil or drinks etc, utilises a plunger and matrix system between which the hollow bodies to be compressed are stacked. The matrix is a hollow tube and somewhat larger than the plunger in diameter but smaller than the diameter of the boxes to be compressed. Downward movement of the plunger firstly compresses and then expels some of the box type container through the hollow tubular matrix due to the developed tensile stresses. In a preferred design the adjusting surface of the container is provided with a raised ring shaped surface.
