Preferably the microorganism is a mutant strain of Pseudomonar brevis ATCC 21940 (e.g. ATCC 21941) or a mutant strain of Achromobacter coagulans ATCC 21934 (e.g. ATCC 21935 or 21936). The culture medium includes the convential nitrogen sources and inorganic salts and may also include a melting agent (e.g. polyoxyethylene mono- or tri-oleate).
