<p>The prefabricated building can be factory manufactured and extended, and is suitable for use as single-family or communal residential accommodation, offices, schools or other functions, and although standard components are used a very wide range of variations and individualisation is practicable. One storey comprises cells which incorporate vertical pillars with chord supports fitted to them, for the attachment of the chords. The pillars, fitted at cell corners, are made as shaped-sections of sheet metal, and those which adjoin several cells may be held on the pillars by clamp plates which are held by thread bolts against sheet metal plates welded to the pillars concerned.</p> |
