1436459 Treating wool wash water A DEWAVRIN FILS & CIE 20 Aug 1973 [24 Aug 1972] 39247/73 Heading C5C [Also in Division B1] Wool washing water from washing and rinsing tanks 4-14 and draining tanks 18 is purified in two parallel circuits, each comprising a filter 32, 40 with rotating brushes; a hydrocyclone 34, 42 and a centrifuge 36, 44, oil being drawn off at 38, 46 and water being returned to the washing tanks while mud from each stage is passed via tank 48 to a decanter 50 and a further circuit 56, 58, 60 similar to the first t@ from which more oil is recovered. Mud from the further circuit is recycled to tank 48 and the water fraction is distilled in evaporation 66 and recycled to the rinsing tanks. Distillation residue is centrifuged at 72 to obtain further oil. Mud from draining tanks 18 and washing tanks 4, 6 is delivered directly to tank 48. |
