<p>Normal caravan chassis have to be insulated from the body by non-homogenous materials, which leads to difficulties caused by different coefficients of expansion. To overcome these difficulties there is an overall metallic structure on the inside of which are pads with two plates, top and bottom and the space between is filled with plastics foam. The body structure is bolted through the two plates and fits onto projections on the top plate. The foam gives sound and thermal insulation and the assembly does not give rise to difficulties due to uneven expansion. The plastics foam is completely enclosed.</p> |
