The products may exist in the open chain form of formula or as an equilibrium mixture of the two forms. In examples the products are obtained by reacting mono- or di-hydrocarbylamines with 11,11- arylene - dioxy - 7 - hydroxy - 1 - alken - 3 - ones which may be synthesized starting from 2,2- ethylenedioxy-5-chloropentane and glutaraldehyde. |
