1487190 Automatic exchange systems TELESCIENCES Inc 26 Nov 1974 [20 Sept 1974] 51222/74 Heading H4K A traffic data monitor for determining the number and duration of calls on a set of trunks or the number of times and duration that all trunks or line finders are busy comprises a scanner for sequentially examining the lines, a last look memory for checking the validity of the data event being monitored, an accumulating store for recording each separate validated event, a timer for checking the overall duration of each validated event, an accumulating memory for recording these durations, a passive memory into which the contents of the accumulating memories may be transferred and a communications system for transferring the contents of any memory to a remote processing station. The trunks are examined in sets of 8 up to a total of 1024, there being ten such 1024 trunk groups. A computer provides the appropriate group, set and data transfer commands. Duration of an event is determined in terms of preselected time periods. Last look validation is determined in terms of event present for, e.g. three "successive" scans and event absent for, e.g. three "successive" scans. These scans need not be immediately successive. Details of the addressing, memory, timing and data transferring arrangements are described. |
