the braking drive control is especially designed for application in electrically driven vehicles. A semiconductor switch is within the working current circuit of a motor drive. A changeover control for the field winding is installed. A resistor (26) which can be short -circuited is placed in series with the armature (17) of the d.c. series dynamo. This series coupling lies in parallel with a diode (20) blocking the motor drive. A bridging control (21) is provided for the bridging switch (25) of the resistor (26). The control input (22) is coupled with the terminal of the diode (20) joined to the armature (17).
