The light fitting for fluorescent lamps is held on the ceiling by leaf springs (14), with curled ends. The housing (3), is a tubular body of trapezoidal shape with side covers screwed on. The electric fitments, e.g. switches, starter, terminals, etc. are mounted on an insert (8) with dove-tail fitting in a guide (9), where it can slide. The housing is held at one end (15), curling more than 90 deg. round the leaf spring end, and the other end (15a) less than 90 deg. round the leaf spring, just clipping in. For access to fitments, one side cover can be dismounted, the side (15a) unhinged and insert pulled out of the dovetail guide as far as required. The complete light fitting is properly sealed and easily accessible for any maintenance without damaging the fluorescent tube (s). |
