The design of a sieve system to grade the solids in a fibre suspension has a number of intermediate chambers between segments of the sieve with an outlet for the removal of impurities. The system ensures that impurities are removed, without allowing them to bypass the outlet, with the attendant risk that they become reduced in size by the sieving action and passed out with the fibres. |
