A combustion chamber (20) of the firing installation is provided with a fuel supply (22) and a primary air supply (24). The outlet of the combustion chamber is connected to a fire space (26) which has a secondary air supply point (28) and a tertiary air supply point (30) with in each case downstream heat-extraction points (32) or (34). The outlet of the flame duct (36) thus formed is connected to a convective heat-extraction point (38), the outlet of which on the flue-gas side is designated by (40). The flame duct (36) is at least partially delimited by refractory ceramic walls (42) and runs out downstream from the fire space (26) in an uncooled mixing space (46). Between the combustion chamber (20) and the fire space (26), a heat-extraction point (48) is connected into the flow path (44) of the combustion gases. In this arrangement, the combustion of the fuel runs in a temporally and spatially extended manner, so that a complete combustion is achieved without inadmissibly high temperatures in spite of a low air excess. The discharge both of uncombusted gases and of nitrogen oxides and sulphur trioxide is thus avoided to a great extent. <IMAGE> |
