The sheet consists of a thin, flexible, transparent support foil, a release agent layer located thereon and a light-sensitive layer on the release agent layer. The light-sensitive layer contains (a) one or more addition-polymerisable, olefinically unsaturated compounds having at least one terminal double bond, for example acrylates or methacrylates, (b) a photopolymerisation initiator forming free radicals and (c) a binder. After imagewise exposure and development, i.e. removal of not photopolymerised substance, this gives a "finished" transfer sheet, whose image elements can be transferred by rubbing and pressing from the back of the sheet to another substrate. The elements are detached at the release agent/support interface or release agent/element interface, or else in the release agent layer. |
