1441922 Portable road marker HAZARD WARNING SYSTEMS Ltd 27 July 1973 [9 Aug 1972 8 Nov 1972] 37062/72 Heading E1G A portable road hazard marker comprises a base 10 supporting an upwardly tapered helical spring 17 whose upper end is free to oscillate laterally, the spring either being (a) of resilient strip material (e.g. plastics), as shown, or (b) of wire encompassed by a perforate conical sleeve, or (c) of wire threaded through a spiral sleeve. The marker may include a top member 18 and may carry reflectors. The base 10 may be of plastics, have a square base plate 12, and incorporate an annular ballast chamber 15. A plurality of markers may be stacked with their springs collapsed as indicated, superposed markers being interconnected by headed projections 22 engaging key-hole slots, Fig. I (not shown). The uppermost of a stack of markers may be held collapsed by a cover plate provided with a handle. |
