<p>1408757 Insulins NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 8 Nov 1972 [18 Nov 1971 (2)] 53622/71 and 53623/71 Heading C3H [Also in Division A5] Physiologically acceptable substantially pure N-substituted insulins in which the primary amino groups of the A 1 (glycine) amino acid units, and optionally also the primary amino group of one or both of the B 1 (phenylalanine) and B 29 (lysine) amino acid units, carry a carbamoyl group, N-substitution being absent from any positions other than said primary amino groups, and physiologically acceptable substantially pure B 1 (phenylalanine)-N-monocarbamoyl insulin are prepared by reacting insulins with carbamoylating agents, for example alkali metal cyanates, and separating the substituted insulins from the reaction mixtures.</p> |
