The disclosure is of improvements in a bag-making machine characterised in that for the manufacture of bags of great length, the bag lengths are folded before welding of the bag bottom, and in that the device for cooling the weld is constituted by a plurality of bars presented in the form of a belt which during a certain time accompanies the accumulating drum and therefore the bags.
